About Rapid Tools Direct

Rapid Tools Direct is an e-commerce website selling a wide range of tools and equipment to professional trades people. Rapid Tools Direct is part of The Internet Shop Ltd a company owned by Anne and Andrew Lucas and set up nearly 20 years ago.

Anne and Andrew have a long history of sourcing and selling building products, specifically polycarbonate and glazing bars which have been sold to both tradespeople, businesses and DIYers. Having been involved in the manufacture of both commercial and domestic canopies and carports they have built their knowledge, experience and contacts over many years.

Around 10 years ago Anne and Andrew were given the opportunity to buy the Rapid Tools Direct website which had only come onto the market because its previous owner was too busy and wanted to focus on other areas of his business. The site was a logical addition to the Internet Shop’s portfolio of e-commerce websites and offered a wide range of products suitable for both professional trades people and keen DIYers.

When we took over the site we updated it and moved it onto a more reliable platform because our customers’ financial security was very important to us. Any payments you make are now handled off site by Shopify the largest e-commerce website platform in the world. Shopify has built in features such as SSL/TLS encryption (HTTPS), Level 1 PCI DSS compliance for payment processing.

Rapid Tools Direct had good established relationships with its’ suppliers and these have been strengthened over the years we have owned the site. Our products are designed for the professional roofer, plasterer, and general builder so are high quality and made to last.

Andrew and Anne are assisted by Heidi, Danielle and Andrea in running the business, all of whom have been with the company for many years and have bags of experience.
