Terms and Conditions

All prices quoted on 'Rapid Tools Direct' include VAT and where applicable, there will be a delivery charge – which will be clearly shown at the 'Checkout' page on the website.

  • Orders to the total value of £100 or under (incl. VAT) are subject to a maximum delivery charge of £6.50 (plus VAT).
  • Orders over £100 (incl. VAT) are delivered free of charge.


Our delivery charges (incl. FREE delivery options on orders over £100) only apply to the UK Mainland (not including the Scottish Highlands). Items may be subject to an excess delivery charge in Northern Ireland, The Highlands & Islands of Scotland, The Isle of Man and The Channel Islands.


Some products may vary in appearance from the image shown, although the technical specification given will be correct at the time of addition to this website. All orders placed are subject to our standard Terms & Conditions. However, the processing of your payment and receipt of your order does not constitute legal acceptance of the order.

On placing an order with Rapid Tools Direct, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. This will contain your unique reference/invoice number which you should quote should you have any queries about your order. We must receive full payment for any order before it can be processed and despatched.

When purchases are being made for business use, a Purchase Order/Job Reference Number must be provided at the 'Checkout' stage, in order to ensure that the person placing the order has the authority to do so, in order to protect both parties from fraudulent misuse of company credit/debit cards.

'Rapid Tools Direct' reserves the right to refuse to accept any order – without providing a reason.


We only deliver to the UK Mainland address shown on the on the order after the credit card details have been processed. However, should you require special delivery of items to alternative locations, please use the 'Contact Us' link to get in touch with us directly to make arrangements (see below for excess delivery charge areas).

We will deliver all goods within the agreed timescales (shown below). However, in the event of a product being out of stock/no longer available, we will notify you as soon as possible, in order to offer you a new delivery date, an alternative product or a full refund on that item(s).

Also, if the order doesn't reach you within the agreed timescale, you must notify us immediately, so that we can resolve the issue/look into the problem. Due to this unlikely possibility, you must not schedule any work due to be done using equipment supplied by 'Rapid Tools Direct' until you are in full receipt of the goods.

Please note that we cannot provide any unpacking, installation, product training, or specialist delivery services, unless agreed with us in advance of the products being supplied to you.

All deliveries will require a valid, clear signature. If a delivery cannot be made to you because you are unavailable to receive the goods, we will try to arrange a new delivery time within 5 working days. If we are unable to arrange a date for an alternative delivery, we reserve the right to cancel you order and refund the price of the goods, less the failed delivery charges.

Delivery Schedules:

  • All orders received before 3pm (Monday to Friday – excluding Bank Holidays) will be despatched for delivery to you within 3-4 working days – unless otherwise stated on the product information page on the 'Rapid Tools Direct' website. In certain cases, we may be able to offer a next working day service - please call 01536 446396 for details.
  • In exceptional circumstances (out of stock, etc) we will notify you as soon as possible, so that alternative arrangements can be made.
  • In the unlikely event that we are unable to supply the product(s) you require, we will contact you and a full refund will be made.

Our delivery charges (incl. FREE delivery options on orders over £100) only apply to the UK Mainland (not including the Scottish Highlands). Items may be subject to an excess delivery charge in Northern Ireland, The Highlands & Islands of Scotland, The Isle of Man and The Channel Islands.

Excess delivery charges, will apply as follows:

  • The Highlands of Scotland, Northern Ireland - £12.00 (approx.)
  • The Islands of Scotland, Isle of Man & The Channel Islands - £20.00 (approx) 

However, if you live in one of these areas, we will contact you to confirm the exact extra charge before your order is fully processed.

Some items may also be subject to additional charges due to their weight and size. This is usually for items weighing over 20Kg. We will contact you and advise you of these charges before your order is processed.

Overseas deliveries – if we receive orders for delivery outside the UK, we reserve the right to either refuse to accept the order and make a full refund, or to charge extra to cover the additional carriage charges that we will incur.

Cancellations, Returns & Refunds

You may only cancel your order by notifying us first by e-mail, phone, fax or mail. Notification of any product problems or faulty goods must be made at the time of cancellation.

Whatever the reason for cancelling any order, you must return the goods to us in perfect condition, in the box in which it was delivered (within 30 days of receipt of goods) at your cost, unless they are being returned because they are faulty or the wrong products – where we will meet the cost of return. In this case, you must allow us to arrange the collection via our courier, otherwise we will not meet this cost.

In the event that we have been requested to replace goods purchased by an alternative (e.g the wrong size was ordered), we reserve the right to make an additional carriage charge before sending out the goods. In the event of customers wishing to simply return goods, we reserve the right to add a 20% handling charge as well as charging for the original carriage, depending on the scale of the new request.

Under no circumstances will we be liable to pay any compensation in respect of returned goods (e.g. business interruption, profit loss, etc), other than the full refund for the product in question.


Where applicable, we offer the manufacturers standard guarantees. These will be shown on the individual product details on our website.Any goods being returned for replacement/repair during the normal guarantee period of the product(s) must be done so at your cost.All goods are sold in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications & guarantees and are subject to guidelines and instructions contained in the documents supplied.
